2024 Fall Academy: Team Based Training
Our Fall Academy is an outstanding opportunity for players who are not currently playing for their school teams to get an introduction to Club Volleyball as part of a competitive volleyball team.
Although other clubs are now beginning to offer fall training programs, what sets our Academy apart is COMPETITION. Similar to club volleyball, players are put onto teams and trained as a team; in addition, we also have tournaments as part of the Academy. Players improve through team training (and learn the basics of team play) but they also get the opportunity to compete! This is the best way to prepare for club tryouts and to get a TOTAL fall training experience.
We offer Fall Academy Select & Fall Academy. Please be sure to read the descriptions before registering.
Our Fall Academy-Select" is for experienced U13 & U14 athletes. Players must have played indoor club during the 2023-24 season. Specific days and times are set aside for these intermediate to advanced athletes to register for our Select Fall Academy teams.
Whether you participate in our F.A. Select program or our Fall Academy, all players will receive individual skill instruction, develop their skills, and participate in organized competition. The Academy begins in September and extends through the end of October. It is an 8-week program and concludes right before U11-U14 club volleyball tryouts. Many of our Fall Academy participants continue on and play in our club season. Participants have and advantage because many of our indoor club coaches also coach in our Fall Academy. The primary intent of this program is to prepare for an expanded club program.
Through NW Juniors Elite VBC, Northwest Juniors Fall Academy, and Beach Club programs, the NW Volleyball Foundation is proud to serve over 600 athletes each season! Please see our PROGRAMS page for more detailed information on our club program!

PRACTICE STARTS AFTER LABOR DAY!
WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOUR ATHLETE ON THE COURT.
Players are assigned to teams during the first week of practice; Teams are then posted to our Girls FA Team page.

Who can Register for Fall Academy
Players should be going into 5th through 8th grades in the Fall*.
During Registration, you select your player's practice schedule, so if you have a carpool make sure you all register for the same time frame and grade level.
Players are placed on teams based on the player information you provide at the time of registration; so please fill out registration forms accurately and completely. We make every effort to keep athletes from the same school on the same team. But we also want to make sure players are at the proper level so they develop at the pace that is right for their level of play.

DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATIONS: Registration is accepted on a first come basis and based on space availability. Due to limited capacity - especially on the Eastside - a waiting list will be created once we have reached our maximum during the sign-up period. For the waitlist, we encourage you to register (but do not pay). Should we add teams or if a player drops, then players from the waitlist will be asked to make payment to complete their register. For those of you seeking to play on the Eastside that live in Redmond, Kirkland, Bothell, or Woodinville - we HIGHLY encourage you to consider playing in the Northend. Fall Academy is no different than our club, as we often reach capacity on the Eastside and we (gently) urge those living in those areas to play in the Northend of our club. |
*Note: we occasionally also accept 9th graders that are not playing HS volleyball or do not make their high school team. They will be accepted first come first served on our 8th grade teams. If a player is entering 9th grade and wants to be considered for either of our Fall programs, they must e-mail info@nwvolleyball.com first for approval before registering. The decision to ADD 9th graders is not made until Labor Day weekend.
If there is an opening, and your 9th grader is accepted, an e-mail invitation to register will be sent. This occurs close to the Fall Academy start date around Labor Day weekend or shortly there after. Keep an eye on your in-box.

Fall Academy Uniform Package
The following uniform package is included in the Program Fees:
- 1 NW Juniors VBC practice tee-shirt
- 1 numbered, colored team jersey
.All apparel will run in Adult Sizes XL, L, M, S and Youth Sizes: XL
Uniforms are ordered after teams are finalized and distributed at the end of September.

Fall Academy is $620.00*
Fall Academy Select is $675*
*Payment is due at the time of registration.

AAU Membership must be valid for Sept 1st, 2024 - August 31st. 2025.

*Fall Academy registration does NOT Include the cost of AAU membership -- Athletes must purchase a $20 "Regular Membership" AAU REGISTRATION OPENS AUGUST 15, 2024. Be sure to purchase the correct year for AAU Membership (Valid for September 1, 2024- August 31, 2025). AAU memberships are not refundable, so please make sure you purchase the membership for the correct year..

Additional Membership information:
Our club uses various memberships to be able to provide insurance coverage for participants in our programming.
We use AAU membership for Summer Camps, our beach programming, our Fall Academy, and for some of our indoor club programming. Please note that if you purchase and AAU membership for our 2024 Summer programming, that membership expires August 31, 2024, and you will need a new membership to participate in our Fall Academy.
Please note that if your child plans to tryout for junior volleyball club, a USA Volleyball membership will be required. Once the Puget Sound Region makes tryout memberships available (usually mid to late October), we will send out a notice to all Fall Academy participants. A USA Volleyball Tryout membership is typically $20 and only covers the athlete for the tryout window, if the athlete is selected for a USA Volleyball Club team, they will be able to upgrade their "Tryout Membership" to a "Full Membership".
Practices are team based training 2 days per week for 8 weeks. The practice week is Monday-Sunday, and all teams will have at least one weeknight practice. Weekend practices, when scheduled are typically after 12:00 PM. For teams that practice on Mondays, their makeup practice for Labor Day will be on Saturday, September 9th.
